I find it
ironic
that I spend
six hours
a day,
five days
a week,
mothering the children
of strangers,
But I never
got
to mother
my own.

- I was just your average teenage girl...until I battled anorexia and a binge eating disorder--along with Type One Diabetes. Early 2011, I lost 40 lbs. by using a calorie deficit (which I now realize was an eating disorder), but in December of that year, my life seemed to take a couple turns for the worse. Food became my drug of choice and my escape from reality. Eating disorders aren't only physical, but mental, spiritual and emotional as well. I hope that through my struggles, I can not only start living my life again, but possibly help others along the way.
